★What is in My Coffee these Days★
☕️What is in my coffee these days? I have used different varieties of collagen in my morning coffee for several years. This year I have been using the brand Micro Ingredients, multi collagen peptides. I always try and read up on nutrition and collagen is one that is debated as to whether it really helps or not. I have also read that collagen products are NOT all created equally. My take on it— I had a period of 3 weeks that I did not take my collagen peptides and I noticed a difference in my joints. I definitely think it helps and I will continue to take it. Research that supports taking collagen also suggests that you get a brand WITH peptides and boasts that it helps with joint pain, improve skin elasticity and hydration and potential bone health. There is so much more information I can share, but you can also read up on it before you make a decision for yourself.
The next goody I put in my coffee that is new for me this year (starting at the beginning of 2025) is MCT Oil powder. This acronym stands for- Medium-Chain Triglyceride. It is a fat that is rapidily digested and absorbed by the body to be used as energy. MCTs are found in foods like coconut oil and has potential health benefits like weight management, and improved brain function. I found this while researching healthy brain, natural remedies for my parents. The more I learned about it, the more I realized that I also wanted to use it. If you follow me, you probably know that I love coconut oil in my coffee. Now, I just use MCT and it tastes exactly the same. I love it.
I still enjoy a sprinkle of organic cinnamon on top.
Taking anything involves your own research to decide whether it is right for you. -debbie disclaimer😄
